New Skoda Superb Sedan Launching Soon- Could Come With A Diesel?

The Skoda Superb is most probably the next launch from Skoda in India with the carmaker teasing a new sedan to be sold alongside the Slavia. The new sedan being the new generation Superb which would be most likely imported to India as a CBU. The new generation Superb was shown at the Auto Expo held earlier this year and is sleeker while being more luxurious while tech has been improved too.

The new Superb borrows a lot from the new Kodiaq which was launched recently including many of the features. The new Superb is aimed at the large executive sedan segment which currently only has the Toyota Camry hybrid. Interestingly the carmaker could bring back diesel engines to India which it could bring in CBU form and that would be a big change. Although there would be the same petrol engine as well which also powers the new Skoda Kodiaq.

The new generation Superb is a large sedan and has tons of legroom while the design is sleeker while still having some of the familiar styling cues although the design language is similar to the new Kodiaq. Being a CBU, the Superb would be undoubtedly expensive but would bring back a familiar name to the Indian market. While the new Superb will come in as an import, some of the features might have to be tuned for the Indian market including ADAS. Skoda has the Slavia in its sedan range but bringing in a global name and also a brand which is well known will bolster the Skoda range even if the volumes are small.
