As the train curved over the majestic steel arch bridge suspended above the Chenab River, Rakesh and Neha Jaiswal gathered with fellow passengers to cut a birthday cake for their son, Moksh. The celebration, set against the majestic Himalayan backdrop and timed with the train’s symbolic crossing, added a deeply personal chapter to a historic day for Indian Railways.
"It was a coincidence that it was our son's birthday the same day PM Modi was going to flag off this train. We thought we should celebrate our son's birthday on the first journey of this train so that his birthday becomes memorable for him", said Rakesh Jaiswal
Neha Jaiswal shared that the idea stemmed from a deep sense of admiration and gratitude. “This is the best gift for our son. We made this plan because of PM Modi", she said.
Vande Bharat Express:
Launched just a day prior by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Kashmir-bound Vande Bharat Express is a milestone in Indian railway connectivity. With the Anji Khad Bridge — India’s first cable-stayed rail bridge — now a part of this route, the Vande Bharat’s path through the Himalayas is as visually breathtaking as it is functionally transformative. Stretching between towering cliffs and winding river valleys, the ride itself becomes an unforgettable experience.
