Encroachments removed from main markets in Jagadhri
The Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), has launched a campaign to remove encroachments from main markets of the twin cities Yamunanagar and Jagadhri.

The team picked up goods kept by shopkeepers on roads and kept them inside shops, asking shopkeepers not to encroach roads. The Municipal Corporation (MC) team members also warned shopkeepers that next time if goods were found on roads, these would be confiscated. They said owners/shopkeepers of goods would also challaned.
According to information, on the instructions of Commissioner of the MCYJ, Akhil Pilani, encroachment removal teams/squads have been formed under the supervision of Chief Sanitary Inspector (CSI) Harjeet Singh in Zone 1, CSI Vinod Beniwal in Zone 2 and CSI Anil Nain in Zone 3.
A team comprising Sanitation Inspector Amit Kamboj, Sanitation Inspector Pankaj, Assistant Sanitation Inspector Sachin Kamboj and Home Guard jawans removed encroachments and held an awareness campaign at Zone 1 in Jagadhri.
The team took this action in Patthar Wala Bazaar, Kheda Bazaar, Pansari Bazaar, Chowk Bazaar, the Sharma Tent House area and some other areas of the city.
On seeing the MC team, several shopkeepers themselves removed their goods from roads. Sanitation Inspector Amit Kamboj told shopkeepers that encroachment made commuting difficult on roads.
“Several shopkeepers encroach roads, which is wrong. Encroachments lead to frequent traffic jams on roads. People face a lot of problem while commuting. Keeping in mind problems of the common man, no shopkeeper should encroach roads,” Kamboj said.
