5 booked for Rs 1.16-cr ‘fraud’
Five members of two families, partners in a leading grain dealer’s firm here, have been named in a fraud case registered at the City-1 police station.
The key operator of the firm had recently stepped down from the post of the chairman in the management of a reputed private model school.
Cops said action had been taken on a complaint by Vaibhav Charaya, who was authorised by his Canada-based sister Ananya to run business on her behalf as arhtiya in the new grain market here.
The complaint was investigated by an SP-rank officer, legal clearance was given by the Assistant District Attorney and Legal Officer to register a case. The City-1 police then registered the case under Sections 318(4), 316(2), 61(2) of the BNS. The police found the house of the accused locked.
In the FIR, police have named Jai Parkash Mittal, his brother Sunil Mittal, son Piyush Mittal. Other partners named in the FIR are Vasudev Gupta and his son Minku Gupta.
