Israel Iran War News Live Updates: Israel has launched another round of airstrikes on Iran, just a day after a major attack that hit around 100 locations, including important military and nuclear sites in Tehran. Reports say that two senior military officials and six top nuclear scientists from Iran were killed in the strikes. In response, Iran fired around 100 drones toward Israel. According to the Israeli military, its air defense systems began shooting down the drones before they reached Israeli airspace. Iran’s top leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has warned that Israel will face serious consequences for its actions, calling them “bitter and painful.” Iran says Israel has killed 78 people, including senior military officials, and wounded more than 320 people in Iran, as the Israeli military continues to launch strikes on cities, military sites and nuclear facilities.

After the strikes, Israel announced a state of emergency, calling the attacks “preemptive” which is meant to stop a possible threat. Defense Minister Israel Katz said they expect Iran to respond soon with missiles or drones targeting Israeli civilians. Meanwhile, Iran has closed its airspace to all flights. State media said the country’s aviation authority issued a notice to stop all air traffic until further notice due to the ongoing attacks.
