IMD Alert: Heatwave alert issued in 8 districts and heavy rain and thunderstorm alert in 38 districts on Saturday
The southwest monsoon is expected to enter Madhya Pradesh on 15-16 June. Before this, most parts of the state will remain cloudy. During this period, there are chances of rain, thunderstorm and lightning.
Rainfall Update: The weather in Madhya Pradesh has changed due to the effect of cyclone and trough. On Friday, there was a period of strong storm and rain in many districts of the state. The temperature in many cities crossed 40 degrees. Khajuraho was the hottest among these. Here the day temperature reached 45 degrees Celsius. Today, on Saturday, heat wave alert has been issued in 8 districts and rain and storm alert in 38 districts.
At present, the series of rains is going to continue in the districts of Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Narmadapuram division for 2-3 days. Here, the south-west monsoon has also picked up speed again, so it is expected that monsoon can enter the state anytime between 15 and 18 June. The normal date of entry of monsoon is 15 June. Last year it entered on 21 June.
Monsoon will knock in MP on 15-16 June
Currently, the northern boundary of monsoon is passing through Mumbai, Ahilyanagar, Adilabad, Bhawanipatna, Puri, Balurghat. Due to the effect of cyclone formed near Telangana and trough formed from Karnataka to Andhra coast, monsoon is likely to advance during the next 48 hours. A cyclone is formed in the upper part of the air around north-western Rajasthan.
This cyclone has formed a trough from Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha to Marathwada. Intermittent rain is going on due to active weather systems at different places. There may be good rain on Saturday and Sunday, especially in the districts of Indore, Narmadapuram and Bhopal division. It is expected that monsoon may enter the state on 17-18 June.
