WABetaInfo has seen this feature in WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.25.18.29 available on Google Play Store. Along with this, WABetaInfo has also shared the screenshot of this upcoming feature in X post. According to the screenshot shared, WhatsApp users will get the option of document scanning in the document sharing section itself. With the help of this new option, users will be able to easily scan and send documents while using WhatsApp.
Manual and automatic mode
The report says that after the availability of this feature, the user will see the option of ‘Scan Document’ as soon as he activates the camera. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will offer two modes – manual and automatic – to capture documents. In the manual mode, users will get the option to adjust the framing for a clear scan. At the same time, the automatic mode will automatically detect the border of the document and give the best output.
After capturing the photo manually or automatically, WhatsApp will immediately convert it into PDF. Let us tell you that this feature of WhatsApp is still under development and the company can roll out its stable version for global users after beta testing.
