Lok Insaaf Manch holds march against Ambedkar statue vandalism
A Samajik Sadbhawna March (Social Harmony March) was held in Phillaur city on the call of Lok Insaaf Manch (LIM) Tehsil Phillaur, led by LIM President Jarnail Phillaur. The march, which witnessed large participation from the people of the region, began from the Municipal Council Phillaur and culminated at Dr BR Ambedkar Chowk Phillaur after passing through the market.

In their speeches, they condemned the repeated desecration of Dr BR Ambedkar’s statues, allegedly carried out by divisive and anti-national forces, stressing that such actions would not be allowed to undermine the communal harmony of Punjab.
The leaders emphasised that any attempts to stoke divisions within the community would be met with a resolute and united response. They called for strengthening the unity among Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and all other communities to safeguard the social fabric of the region.
Participants from all communities marched together, displaying solidarity and sending a strong message of social harmony. The marchers carried placards with slogans such as “Sada Eka Zindabad,” walking shoulder to shoulder to showcase their unity.
The leaders reiterated that people from all walks of life—Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Dalits, Ambedkarites, Ravidas adherents, and others—stood united in response to these cowardly attacks. They affirmed their unwavering belief in the Constitution of India and the equal rights granted to all citizens by Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
“This march is a powerful message to those attempting to disrupt the peace and camaraderie that thrives across communities in this region and in Punjab,” the leaders stated.
