Amit Shah to Hand Over Appointment Letters to 60,244 UP Police Recruits Today in Lucknow
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend a grand ceremony today at the Defence Expo Ground in Lucknow, where he will distribute appointment letters to 60,244 newly selected police recruits of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present at the event.This recruitment drive marks the largest single police recruitment initiative in the history of Uttar Pradesh. Among the newly selected recruits, 48,196 are men and 12,048 are women. The campaign represents a major step toward strengthening law and order in the state.By expanding the police force on such a large scale, the Uttar Pradesh government aims to enhance public safety, improve police response times, and ensure more robust law enforcement, especially in rural and sensitive areas.The ceremony is not only symbolic of the state's commitment to security and governance but also a significant moment for the thousands of youth beginning their careers in public service.
