The incident took place on June 4 when two helmet-wearing men on a scooty snatched a gold chain from a woman waiting near a school bus stop.
The accused brandished a sharp-edged weapon to threaten the victim before fleeing. To avoid detection, they had removed the scooty’s number plate. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Janipur.

A stolen scooty used in the incident and an auto-rickshaw were seized from their possession, along with the weapon used in the crime. The snatched gold chain was also recovered.
“The swift arrests and recovery are a result of focused investigation and teamwork. We remain committed to curbing street crimes and ensuring public safety,” said SP Rural Jammu Brijesh Sharma.
