After Sonam Raghuvanshi Case, Chhatarpur Family Accuses Daughter-In-Law Of Plotting To Harm Son; Forcing Husband For Solo Trips
Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A family in Chhatarpur has accused their daughter-in-law of plotting to harm their son, claiming she wants to take him away and do something dangerous on Sunday.
They fear something similar to the recent Sonam Raghuvanshi case in Indore. The frightened family reached the SP office, requesting protection and action against the woman and her family.
According to information, the incident involves Ajay Ahirwar and his parents, Bhagwati and Asharam, residents of Daopura village in Mahoba district, Uttar Pradesh.
Ajay got married on July 11, 2024, to a girl from the Rajnagar area of Chhatarpur. However, soon after marriage, the family began noticing suspicious behavior from the bride.
According to the family, the daughter-in-law spent hours on her phone, mostly talking to her brother-in-law. They say they even caught her talking inappropriately on multiple occasions.
When they tried to raise the issue with her parents, they were instead blamed and accused.
The situation worsened on October 12, 2024, when the woman allegedly left for her parental home, taking cash and jewelry worth lakhs. Since then, she has refused to return, and when Ajay’s family tried to bring her back, they were warned not to come again.
After some time, Ajay and his wife began living separately in Mahoba at her request, as she wanted to stay away from his parents.
But even there, Ajay claims he saw signs of a conspiracy. He alleges that he heard his wife and her brother-in-law planning something against him.
When he confronted them, they started abusing him, and the wife left again, this time taking everything with her.
Ajay now says his wife is staying with her brother-in-law, and he fears for his life. “She kept asking me to go out alone with her, but after the Sonam Raghuvanshi case, I got scared. I think she may try to harm me in a similar way,” he told the police.
His parents backed his claims and said they were already worried after hearing their son’s suspicions. They recalled an earlier incident when their son went to his in-laws' house and was allegedly locked inside and beaten up.
“We are scared now. She has even filed a police complaint against us. We will not allow our son to stay with her anymore,” the parents said.
The family has now formally requested police protection and action against the daughter-in-law and her relatives, saying they no longer feel safe.
