IND vs PAK Women's World Cup Clash: Date, Venue & Details Revealed

The high-voltage encounter between India and Pakistan in the 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup is scheduled for October 5 at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. This blockbuster clash is expected to draw massive attention from fans across the globe.

India will host the Women’s ODI World Cup for the first time in 12 years, with the tournament starting from September 30, 2025. The last time India hosted the event was back in 2013.

Tournament Format and Venues

A total of 28 league matches and three knockout games will be played across five venues: Bengaluru, Indore, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, and Colombo. The format will follow a round-robin style, like in 2022, where all eight teams play each other once. The top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals.

1st Semi-final: October 29 (Guwahati or Colombo)

2nd Semi-final: October 30 (Bengaluru)

Final: November 2 (Bengaluru or Colombo)

India’s Fixtures

India will begin its campaign against Sri Lanka on September 30 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The team’s key group match against Bangladesh is scheduled for October 26, also in Bengaluru.

The high-voltage India vs Pakistan clash will take place on October 5 in Colombo. This match will be played under the hybrid model, with all of Pakistan’s games set to be held in Sri Lanka.

India will then face South Africa on October 9 in Visakhapatnam, followed by a key encounter against Australia at the same venue on October 12. The campaign continues in Indore on October 19, where India will take on England.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s side will next play New Zealand on October 23 in Guwahati, before concluding their league-stage fixtures against Bangladesh on October 26 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Pakistan to Play All Matches in Colombo

As part of a hybrid hosting agreement between the BCCI and PCB, Pakistan will play all its matches in Colombo, including:

vs New Zealand – October 18

vs South Africa – October 21

Australia Begins Title Defense in Indore

Defending champions Australia will open their campaign against New Zealand on October 1 in Indore. One of the tournament’s key fixtures, Australia vs England, will take place on October 22, also in Indore.

Qualified Teams

The eight qualified teams are: India (hosts), Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Notably, West Indies failed to qualify, losing out to Bangladesh on net run-rate in the qualifiers held in Lahore.
