Abhishek Bachchan has made a name for himself over the years with his impressive acting chops and impactful performances. Despite being the son of Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Junior Bachchan had his own professional struggles. From being compared to his father’s success, his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s established career, to criticised for his flop films, the actor had witnessed all.

Despite all the highs and lows, Abhishek continues to remain a well-known figure in the industry. He made his Bollywood debut in 2000 with Refugee, opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan. Although the film received mix response, but the actor was appreciated for his performance. With over 50 films to his name, he has contributed to hits like Dhoom, Guru, Bunty Aur Babli, Paa, Happy New Year and others.

Despite hits and flops, Abhishek consistently maintains to showcase his best. Be it in OTT and theatre, he is dominating everywhere with his powerful performances. His previous releases, including I Want To Talk (2004) created a stir on OTT. Although the film underperformed at the box office, Abhishek was immensely appreciated for his real-life portrayal of cancer survivor, marketer Arjun Sen in the film. He bagged several accolades for his work in Shoojit Sircar’s directorial. Apart from Bachchan, the film also starred Ahilya Bamroo, Johnny Lever, Banita Sandhu, and Pearle Maaney.

Then this year, the actor delivered another terrific yet emotional performance in Remo D’Souza’s Be Happy. The film trended number 1 on Prime Video and earned accolades for beautifully portraying a relatable father-daughter relationship. The film also features Inayat Verma, Nassar, Johny Lever and Harleen Sethi in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, his latest release, Housefull 5, is continuing its good run at the box office. The film collected Rs 23 crore nett on day one, and has currently crossed Rs 100 crore, becoming one of the highest-grossers of the year. His winning streak in the past also included Ghoomer and Dasvi, films that garnered him acknowledgement and resonated widely.
