‘Ab Bolti Band Pappu…’ BJP Slams Congress After Opposition MLA Bhairosingh Parihar’s Video Praising RSS Goes Viral

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Congress found itself in a tricky spot after a video of its Susner MLA, Bhairon Singh Parihar, went viral on Monday.

In the video, MLA Parihar is seen saying, “Though I am a Congressman, I am connected to the Sangh. I respect you (referring to Rajput Mahasabha National President Man Singh Thikriya), as you are connected to the RSS too. I have worked with several Sangh leaders and office-bearers.”

After the video surfaced, BJP leaders reacted strongly. Party spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter), tagging Rahul Gandhi. He wrote, “Congress MLA Bhairon Singh Parihar openly says he is linked to the RSS. Rahul Gandhi, maybe there are still some good people in your party. But maybe, you don’t like those good people.”

Chaturvedi tagged Rahul Gandhi and wrote, “Ab bolti band Pappu party ki.”

Another BJP post read, “The same RSS that Rahul Gandhi criticises day and night is being praised by his own MLA. Wake up, Rahul, and stop looking for sleeper cells and ‘horses’ outside — they are inside your own party.”

The video is reportedly about 10 days old and was recorded during a Rajput Mahasabha event in Agar-Malwa.

He also shared an old incident from two years ago, saying, “When Dara Singh came to meet the Chief Minister and police tried to detain the Gharoth MLA, I was the one who helped by arranging a compromise for the Sangh.”

He added further, “These days, there are very few Congressmen left. If I ever join the organisation, the mandal president might even ask – who is this person who came in?”
