Ujjain Woman Dies by Suicide, Accuses In-Laws, Hubby Of Harassment In Last Video
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A married woman committed suicide by consuming poison on Sunday evening in Ujjain. She posted a last video before committing suicide on social media. In the video, she accused her husband, mother-in-law and sisters-in-law of mental and physical torture.
Deceased has been identified as Nupur Jat, a resident of Hatkeshwar Colony of Nilganga police station area. After the incident she was taken to the hospital, where she died during treatment.
Nupur Jat also wrote a suicide note, in which she held her in-laws responsible for her death. CSP Shweta Gupta said that investigation has been started.
The family members have given information about the video and suicide note. Further action will be taken after verification of the documents.
Nupur's brother Vinod Jat said that “my sister was constantly being tortured by her in-laws. Husband Satish Jat was missing from home for the last two-three days. There is also a dispute over the division of family land.”
According to Vinod, Nupur’s mother-in-law Hemlata and one sister-in-law live in another house in Ujjain, while the other sister-in-law is in her in-laws' house after marriage near Dhar. Nupur was married to Satish Jat of Ujjain in the year 2021.
"My husband torturing me"
In the suicide note, Nupur wrote, "I, Nupur Jat, am committing suicide by consuming poison. My husband Satish Jat, mother-in-law Hemlata Jat and sisters-in-law Pooja and Bhavna Jat are constantly torturing me. Pooja has been mentally harassing me for the last four years. My husband has also started torturing me since six months."
