EOW Raids Indore Municipal's Garden Officer Chetan Patil's Residence & Office In Disproportionate Assets Case
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): EOW raided the house and office of Chetan Patil, Assistant Superintendent in the Garden Department of Indore Municipal Corporation, on Tuesday morning. disproportionate assets
The raid comes after EOW received several complaints of disproportionate assets against Patil.
His office in the corporation’s new building was also sealed. Patil has been handling garden-related work in the civic body for several years.
A team reached Patil's residence in Gulmohar Colony in the morning and started the investigation. The second team reached his office in the municipal corporation.
According to officials, Chetan Patil has amassed assets disproportionate to his income during his service period so far.
The team is busy gathering information and currently scanning bank passbooks, property papers, deposits, FD and investment documents.
According to information, EOW had received inputs that in the past years, Patil has acquired massive property in his name, family and relatives. There is information about his property outside Indore as well.
On the other hand, a team will investigate the documents of his office in the corporation. Information will be collected on the purchase, cutting, tending, bill etc. of plants.
EOW officials said that a case of disproportionate assets has been registered against Chetan Patil, Garden Officer of Indore Municipal Corporation. The case has been registered under Sections 7, 13(1), and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act (PC Act). A search warrant was obtained from the honorable court, and searches are being conducted at his residence and office. The search is still ongoing."
