Thane: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has announced a 12-hour water cut on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in several parts of the city due to urgent repair work being carried out by the STEM Authority.
The affected areas include Ghodbunder Road, Patlipada, Pawar Nagar, Kothari Compound, Azad Nagar, Dongripada, Waghbeel, Anand Nagar, Kasarvadvali, and Ovala. Water supply to these areas will be suspended from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 18.

In addition, another set of areas including Samata Nagar, Ritu Park, Siddheshwar, Eternity, Johnson, Jail, Saket, Uthalsar, Retibandar, Kalwa, and some parts of Mumbra will also face a 12-hour water cut from 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 18, until 9:00 AM on Thursday, June 19.
According to TMC, despite the repair-related shutdown, it plans to continue water supply in a phased manner across the city using its water supply scheme. However, residents should be prepared for reduced water pressure for the next one to two days after the resumption of regular supply.
The Thane Municipal Corporation has urged all citizens to store an adequate amount of water in advance and avoid any wastage during this period. The civic body shared this information via an official post on social media platform X, requesting cooperation from the public as essential maintenance is carried out.
