Pakistani Actress Mahira Khan's 'Ranbir Kapoor' Dialogue From Latest Film Love Guru Goes Viral; Reddit Users React

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is once again at the centre of online conversation, thanks to a viral scene from her latest film Love Guru. In the scene, Mahira is seen alongside co-star Ramsha Khan, delivering a line that has caught the internet's attention.

"Oh, this means he hasn't met a girl yet who can bring his inner Ranbir Kapoor out," is one of the actresses' dialogue. A photo of the particular scene has surfaced on Reddit.

The seemingly light-hearted reference to Bollywood actor Ranbir has set social media abuzz, especially given Mahira's rumoured past relationship with the Rockstar actor.

Reacting to the post, a user commented, "Bhai is inevitable. I can only compare him to Rajeev Shukla in terms of visibility."

Another wrote, "What does this mean. Inner Ranbir Kapoor kya hota hai?" Reacting to the comment, another user replied, "Animal," referring to the actor's film and his character in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directorial.

While the photo was posted on Reddit, The Free Press Journal couldn't verify its authenticity.

Back in 2017, photos of Mahira and Ranbir smoking together in New York had gone viral, triggering widespread speculation about their alleged romance. The pictures stirred controversy in Pakistan and India alike. That same year, the two were also spotted posing together at an awards event in Dubai, further fuelling rumours.

In a 2024 interview with BBC Asian Network, Mahira had opened up on the emotional impact of that episode. She admitted that the media storm left her shaken and fearful for her career.

"When the photos came out, there was an article called The Little White Dress published by BBC. I remember reading it and thinking, 'Is my career over?'" Mahira shared. "That time was very tough. I wouldn't get out of bed, I was crying daily. It affected my professional and personal life," she added.

The actress had further revealed, "In that article, it was written that 'Here is a woman who has achieved this kind of success that no one in Pakistan has achieved… and now it is all gone.' I read it and thought, 'Damn'."

The resurfacing of her connection to Ranbir - albeit through a fictional line in Love Guru - comes at a time when tensions remain high between India and Pakistan. Following a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, the Indian government has banned Pakistani celebrities from working in Indian films, and their Instagram accounts are currently inaccessible within India.
