Furious Face-Off Over Caste Census

 The political war over caste data has reignited after Congress leader Pawan Khera alleged that the BJP government is deliberately omitting the word "caste" from its notification for the upcoming Census 2027 socio-economic survey. According to Mr Khera, this omission is not accidental, it reflects the BJP's long-standing discomfort with caste-based enumeration and its unwillingness to confront social inequities head-on. The BJP has shot back sharply. Party spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla has accused the Congress of "spreading fake news" and being a "factory of lies."
