England announce playing XI for first Test against Shubman Gill’s Team India at Headingly
New Delhi: England has announced its playing eleven ahead of the first Test against the Indian cricket team. The first match of the 5-Test series will be played at Headingley ground in Leeds from June 20. Ollie Pope will be seen playing at number 3. At the same time, Jacob Bethell, Chris Woakes and Brydon Carse have returned to the playing 11.
According to a release issued by the ECB, the England men’s team has announced its playing eleven for the first Test against India at Headingley in Rothesay from Friday. Warwickshire all-rounder Chris Woakes has returned to the team for the first time since December. Durham fast bowler Brydon Carse will play his first Test on home soil. He has played his last five Tests in Pakistan and New Zealand.
