Human skeletal remains including a skull found in Bengaluru's apartment percolation pit

In a surprise turn of events, a clean-up of a percolation pit in Bengaluru's Begur turned out to be horrific after human skeletal remains were found in one of the pits.
According to the Bengaluru police, human bones and a skull were found inside a percolation pit at MN Credence Flora Apartments in Begur.

"We have sent them for forensic analysis, it would take a week before we could get any other details," said an official at the Begur Police station.
The incident unfurled when the contractors who were hired to clone the perlocation pit found the skeletal remains in one of them and immediately alerted the residents of the apartment. Following this, the Begur police, under whose jurisdiction the apartment complex falls, filed an Unnatural Death Report, based on a complaint by the president of the residents' welfare association (RWA).

The unidentified remains have now been sent to the forensics for examination, reported Hindustan Times. Officials are awaiting a forensic report, which may shed light on the identity and age of the deceased person.
