Indore Municipal Corporation Prioritises MR-5, Key Roads In Indore-I Seat
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore Municipal Corporation is expediting major road construction projects, including a crucial MR-5 and roads in Indore-I assembly constituency.
Public Works Incharge in IMC, Rajendra Rathore conducted an inspection of the ongoing works in Assembly Constituency No 1, emphasizing the importance of timely and high-quality completion. He stated that crucial MR-5 is among the roads which have been taken on priority by IMC.
He directed officials and contractor representatives to ensure that all work is completed before the onset of the rainy season to avoid public inconvenience. "The IMC is fully committed to enhancing urban mobility and prioritizing citizen convenience," he said. "Strict adherence to quality standards and coordination between departments will be key to completing these critical works on time," he added.
The inspection team included Mayor-in-Council member Ashwin Shukla, regional corporator Parag Kaushal, Manoj Mishra, corporator Sonali Dharkar, additional municipal commissioner Abhay Rajangaonkar, superintendent engineer DR Lodhi and several other senior officials.
Rathore reaffirmed that the IMC is actively monitoring all developmental projects to ensure they are completed within the stipulated timeframe. He also stressed the need for maximum resource utilization and efficient inter-departmental coordination to meet the city's infrastructural goals ahead of the monsoon.
Inspection covered several important sites:
MR-5 Road (Indore Wire to Bada Bangarda): This 5.5 km stretch is a vital connector for the city’s traffic flow.
Road from Jinsi Square to Laxmibai Statue: Construction has commenced on this 330-meter segment, crucial for easing congestion.
Kandilpura Road (Subhash Marg to Indore Wire Square): Spanning 550 meters, this road links the western and central parts of the city.
Culverts at Kandilpura and near Laxmibai Statue: Work has also begun on these essential drainage structures to prepare for the upcoming monsoon.
