ATM withdrawal charge: India’s leading private sector ICICI Bank has announced changes in the charges on many of its banking services from July 1, 2025. If you are currently a customer of ICICI Bank, then this news is for you. Because from the coming month, new charges are going to be applicable on services like ATM transactions, cash deposit, cash withdrawal, IMPS, debit card and demand draft. These changes can affect your pocket. What is going to change for ICICI Bank customers from July 1

1. Change in new charges on ATM transactions

Withdrawing money from ATM or checking balance can now be a bit expensive. ICICI Bank has increased the fee for ATM transactions. Now customers will get 5 free transactions every month. After this, a fee of Rs 23 will be charged for each financial transaction and Rs 8.50 for non-financial transaction. Earlier the fee for financial transaction was Rs 21. If ICICI Bank customers transact from another bank’s ATM then –

3 free transactions will be available in metro cities and 5 free transactions in smaller cities. After this, a fee of Rs 23 will have to be paid on financial transactions and Rs 8.50 on non-financial transactions.

2. Charges on cash deposit and withdrawal

Every month, 3 free cash deposit transactions will be available. After this, a charge of Rs 2 will be levied per Rs 1,000. This charge can be a minimum of Rs 50 and a maximum of Rs 15,000. Till now, a charge of Rs 50 is levied for the first Rs 10,000 and Rs 5 for every Rs 1,000 thereafter, which will increase from the coming month.

Apart from this, 3 free transactions will be available for withdrawing cash from the branch. Charges will be applicable on withdrawals made after this.

3. Charges on IMPS transactions

The fee for transactions made through IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) has also been changed.

4. Increase in debit card fee

The charges related to debit cards have also increased. In which the annual fee of debit card has now been increased from Rs 200 to Rs 300. If your debit card is lost or damaged, then the fee for getting a new card has also been increased from Rs 200 to Rs 300.

5. Charges for demand draft and pay order

From the coming month, a fee of Rs 2 will be charged per Rs 1,000, in which the minimum fee can be Rs 50 and the maximum fee can be up to Rs 15,000. These charges will be applicable on making demand draft through cheque or transfer.

Why is ICICI Bank increasing the charge

ICICI Bank called these changes necessary for the needs of the customers and competitive services. Along with this, the bank says that these changes are also being made to manage operational costs and increase transparency.
