Odisha Schools to Reopen Tomorrow with Safety Protocols; Collectors to Decide in Diarrhoea-Affected Areas

Bhubaneswar: Schools across Odisha will reopen on Friday after the summer vacation, with strict safety measures in place due to a diarrhoea outbreak in several areas.
School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond announced that District Collectors in three affected districts will decide on reopening based on local conditions, with the authority to keep schools closed if the situation worsens.
To ensure student safety, schools must provide boiled drinking water, and those without purification systems have been directed to make arrangements. Mid-day meal cooks are instructed to serve hot meals with boiled water, and special measures are in place for residential school hostels. Officials will closely monitor vulnerable districts to ensure safe resumption of classes.
