Iran-Israel war: How long does it take for Iranian missiles to reach Israel? They cross countries like…
Iran-Israel war: After the war between Israel and Iran has escalated, Iran has launched hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel in response to Israeli strikes on its military and nuclear sites and according to media reports, Israel’s multilayered defenses—including Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow systems have intercepted around 80–90% of the missiles. However, a question that may have crept into one’s mind is that how much time do Iranian missiles take to attack Israel.
To be precise, Iran has reportedly fired 370 ballistic missiles including supersonic missiles like Fatah-1 and Sajil at Israel after the war between between the two has escalated between 13 and 16 June. Readers should note that the distance between Israel and Iran is about 1,300 to 1,500 km and these ballistic missiles of Iran cover the distance traveling at Mach 5—reach Israel in about 12 minutes.
Route of Iranian missiles
While faster missiles like Fatah-1 just take 6–7 minutes at speeds up to 18,500 km/h, cruise missiles may take up to two hours depending on type and launch location. Talking about the route of the missiles, they pass through the airspace of Iraq and Syria, and occasionally Jordan, depending on their trajectory.
Iran ballistic missile hits hospital in Israel
According to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), an Iranian ballistic missile struck Soroka Hospital in Israel’s Beersheba, seriously injuring several patients, doctors, and staff as the conflict entered its seventh day. In the recent attack on Israel, Iran fired around 30 ballistic missiles at Israel, and one of them struck the hospital in Beersheba. President of Israel, Isaac Herzog, took to his social media to narrate the horrific scenes in the hospital after the attack on the civilians, a report by IANS news agency said.
“A baby in intensive care. A mother by their bedside. A doctor rushing between beds. An elderly resident in a nursing home. These were some of the targets of Iran’s missile attacks on Israeli civilians this morning. Soroka Hospital, located in Be’er Sheva, is one of Israel’s finest — serving the entire Negev region, caring for Israelis of all faiths and our neighbours the Palestinians who come especially to be treated there. Its devoted staff — Jews and Arabs — work side by side in extraordinary harmony, united by the mission to heal,” the President posted on X.
