Banking New Rules: Banking rules will change from July 1, debit card related charges will become more expensive

ICICI Bank, another big private sector bank, has changed some of the charges levied on IMPS and ATM.

Banking New Rules: Some rules of private sector banks are going to change from July 1. On one hand, while HDFC Bank has changed some rules regarding credit cards, ICICI Bank has also changed the charges levied on some transactions. Let us know what are those changes, which can affect you-

Changes in HDFC Bank rules

If you spend more than ten thousand rupees per month on gaming apps like MPL, Dream 11 using HDFC Bank’s credit card, then you will have to pay more than one percent charge on it. Similarly, if you put more than ten thousand rupees in a month on third party wallets like Mobikwik, Paytm, Ola Money and Freecharge, then one percent charge will be levied on that too. If you spend more than 15 thousand rupees on fuel, an additional one percent charge will have to be paid. Apart from this, if you pay more than fifty thousand rupees on electricity, water and gas, then also one percent charge will have to be paid on it.

Changes in ICICI Bank’s rules

Another big private sector bank ICICI Bank has changed some of the charges levied on IMPS and ATM. After this, if you use any other bank now, then you will have to pay some extra charge on it.

That is, in metro cities, you will get three free transactions every month. Whereas in small cities, you will be given up to five free transactions. After this, where earlier Rs 21 was charged for withdrawing money, now you will have to pay Rs 23 as a charge. Whereas if you only check the balance or do non-financial work, then a charge of Rs 8.5 per transaction will be levied on it.

Apart from this, now you will have to pay a charge according to your transaction for sending money through IMPS i.e. instant service. Like Rs 2.5 per transaction for Rs 1 thousand, while Rs 5 per transaction for Rs 1 thousand to Rs 1 lakh. Whereas Rs 15 per transaction will have to be paid for Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.
