Gorakhpur Patna Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to flag off the new Vande Bharat Express train between Gorakhpur-Pataliputra today, giving a big good news to the people from Bihar to Gorakhpur.
Gorakhpur Patna Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Siwan district of Bihar today, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several infrastructure and development projects worth Rs 5,700 crore. To boost railway infrastructure, PM Modi will inaugurate the Vaishali-Deoria railway line project constructed at a cost of more than Rs 400 crore at 12 noon. A new rail service will also be flagged off on this route. In this journey, the Patliputra-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express will also be flagged off via Muzaffarpur and Bettiah, which will write a new chapter in high-speed rail connectivity in North Bihar.
The train will run 6 days a week
Regular operation of train number 26502/26501 Gorakhpur–Patliputra–Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express will start from 22 June 2025. This Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week except every Saturday.
Train timing and route details
According to information received from the railways, Vande Bharat Express (train number 26502) running between Patna and Gorakhpur will leave Gorakhpur at 05:40 am and reach Patna (Patliputra) at 12:45 pm. On the return journey, this train will leave at 3.30 pm and reach Gorakhpur at 10.30 pm.
On the way from Gorakhpur to Patna (Patliputra), this train will stop at Kaptanganj, Paniyhava, Bagaha, Narkatiaganj, Bettiah, Sagauli, Bapudham Motihari, Muzaffarpur and Hajipur.

As a major milestone under the ‘Make in India-Make for the World’ initiative, PM Modi will flag off the first export locomotive manufactured at the Marhoura plant. This locomotive is for the Republic of Guinea, and it features high-horsepower engines, advanced AC propulsion, regenerative braking and microprocessor-based controls.
This new treatment plant for Namami Gange
In line with his commitment to Ganga rejuvenation, the Prime Minister will inaugurate six new sewage treatment plants (STPs) under the Namami Gange programme, costing a total of Rs 1,800 crore. These projects aim to reduce pollution and improve sanitation in cities across Bihar. Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone of STP, sanitation and water supply projects costing over Rs 3,000 crore in several cities of the state, ensuring safe and clean drinking water to thousands of households.
Taking a step forward in renewable energy efficiency, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of a 500 MW capacity battery energy storage system (BESS). These standalone storage units will be installed at 15 substations, including Siwan, Muzaffarpur, Bettiah and Motihari, with capacities ranging from 20 MW to 80 MW.
53,600 people will get the first installment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban
PM Modi will release the first installment to over 53,600 beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U). Additionally, PM Modi will hand over the keys to select beneficiaries of 6,600 newly completed houses on the occasion of their griha pravesh. This visit is PM Modi’s second visit to Bihar in less than a month and fifth this year, reflecting the Centre’s increased focus on Bihar’s development ahead of the state assembly elections.
