Adnan Sami is one of the most celebrated singers in the Indian music industry. He became a beloved voice after his collaboration with Asha Bhosle on the superhit song Kabhi To Nazar Milao (2000). While, the Padma Shri awardee had a remarkable professional journey, his personal life had seen its shares of ups and downs.

Adnan Sami who is currently married to Roya Faryabi, recently opened up about his previous marriage to Pakistani actress Zeba Bakhtiar, which ended in divorce in the late 90s. While speaking to Bollywood Bubble, the singer gave insights about the aftermath of their separation, focusing on the beautiful memories and time they once shared.

He said, “Sometimes what happens is that with time, for whatever reason, it was not meant to be, and that does not make you or me a bad person. That is destiny. After a certain period, you realise that it is not working and you part. We tried, and it did not work out for whatever reason; maybe it ended in a fight or a major clash.”

“At the end of the day, when you part, remember once upon a time, there was love, and let us respect that and move on. This person did bring me joy at a particular point in life and we had some great moments together.” Adnan Sami added.

Zeba Bakhtiar on how things impacted her following divorce with Adnan Sami

In a past interview, Zeba Bakhtiar revealed that how her divorce with Adnan Sami impacted her both personally and professionally. The couple has a son, named Azaan Sami Khan, now a music composer and actor.

“When I got married to Adnan, I was wrapping up a few films. At that time, I wasn’t interested in continuing to act. I wanted to write, maybe produce. I wasn’t that involved in acting. Then I married Adnan and Azaan was born, I was totally invested in that. But when the marriage didn’t work out, I started doing productions and other projects.” Zeba said.

Adnan Sami has been married three times. His first marriage with Zeba ended in 1997, followed with Dubai-based Sabah Galadari, with whom he got officially separated in 2009. He is currently living a peaceful life with his third wife Roya Faryabi and their daughter, Medina.
