Harry Brook Throws His Head Back In Despair After Being Dismissed For 99 In ENG vs IND 2025 1st Test; Video
England's star batter Harry Brook was left heartbroken after being dismissed for 99 on day three of the opening Test against India at the Headingley in Leeds. The Yorkshire batter dropped his head back in dismay after hitting a short-pitched delivery from Prasidh Krishna to Shardul Thakur at deep backward square leg.
The right-handed batter's dismissal came in the 88th over of the innings as right-arm speedster Prasidh Krishna came on for a new spell. Brook had started the over on 97 and took a brace off the very first ball, followed by a dot. Nevertheless, he couldn't keep the short-pitched delivery down and Thakur took a comfortable catch at deep backward square leg region.

Harry Brook had already received three lifelines during his 112-ball innings
Although the youngster played some terrific shots during his innings of 99, Brook did get three reprieves. Jasprit Bumrah had him caught in the final over of day two but he had overstepped. Day three saw Rishabh Pant dropping a catch behind the stumps, followed by Yashasvi Jaiswal also fluffing an opportunity. However, Jaiswal would be relieved to see the back of Brook without a ton.
India had been bowled out for 471 after Yashasvi Jaiswal (101), Shubman Gill (147) and Rishabh Pant (134) struck centuries. Jasprit Bumrah was the sole wicket-taker on day two, dismissing Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett and Joe Root.
