Bhopal Metro To Be Rolled Out In September: After CM’s Announcement, Metro Officials Race To Meet Deadline

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Following the announcement of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav that the Bhopal Metro will be operational by September, officials of the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation have intensified efforts to complete all remaining work at the earliest.

An officer of the corporation said that after the CM’s announcement, the pressure has increased to finish all the pending work before the deadline, as only then can the metro train begin commercial operations. Work related to systems and interior projects has been accelerated.

The main focus is on completing three out of the eight metro stations

Importantly, special attention is being given to the entrance gates, as the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety team will be keenly inspecting them.

Meanwhile, Metro officials are still awaiting the arrival of the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) team, which will inspect the functioning of the Metro trains.

Although the necessary documentation was submitted to RDSO a long time ago, Metro officials have yet to receive a confirmed date for the team’s visit. In the first phase, the Bhopal Metro will run between eight stations. The RDSO team is expected to arrive in Bhopal later this month.
