Monsoon will arrive in the next two days

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday that the southwest monsoon can reach Delhi and its surrounding areas in the next two days. If this happens, then this time the monsoon will arrive before its scheduled time of 29 June. Last year the monsoon reached Delhi on 28 June. This time Delhi has got relief from the scorching heat in June. There have been only seven days in the entire month when the temperature went above 40 degrees Celsius. The hottest day of this month was June 12, when the temperature reached 43.9 degrees Celsius.

The IMD said, “The weather is completely favorable for the southwest monsoon to spread to Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and the rest of Delhi. Along with this, it can also cover the rest of Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu in the next two days.” The Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued an orange alert for heavy rains in Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh from June 22 to 26.

Monsoon is moving fast

Since hitting Kerala on May 24 this year, the southwest monsoon has maintained a good pace. On Sunday, it reached most parts of Himachal Pradesh, the entire region of Kashmir and Ladakh, most parts of Jammu and Punjab. Now the northern boundary of the monsoon is passing through Jaipur, Agra, Rampur, Dehradun, Shimla, Pathankot and Jammu. Although the pace of monsoon slowed down a bit for a few days between May 29 and June 15, but overall it has been progressing rapidly since its beginning.
