Assembly bypoll result: AAP's Gopal Italia wins Gujarat Visavadar seat, defeats BJP's Kirit Patel by 17,000+ votes

Gopal Italia of AAP won the Visavadar seat, defeating BJP's Kirit Patel by 17,554 votes, ending BJP's 18-year losing streak in the constituency. Rajendra Chavda of BJP secured the Kadi seat. The Visavadar seat became vacant after Bhupendra Bhayani resigned from AAP and joined BJP.
