Indian Navy's Eastern Command gets a stealthy power upgrade as INS Nilgiri joins fleet

INS Nilgiri, the first ship of the P17A Stealth Frigate Project, joined the Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam.
The warship is set to enhance the capabilities of the Indian Navy as it incorporates advanced features for enhanced survivability, seakeeping, and stealth.
"Built in Mumbai, #INSNilgiri now makes the City of Destiny her home port. This state of the art warship is driven by her motto — “Adrish Yabalam, Ajeya Shauryam”, the Navy said in a tweet.
“The silhouettes of #INSNilgiri, and other ships of her class that would soon follow, are going to be a common sight on the eastern seaboard, enhancing the punch of the #IndianNavy,” it further said.
