Team India and England players were seen wearing black armbands on day five of the opening Test at the Headingley in Leeds. With ex-Indian cricketer Dilip Doshi passing away due to a sudden cardiac arrest, not only did players wore black armbands but also observed a moment's silence before the start of play.
Doshi, 77, played 33 Tests and 15 ODIs from 1979 to 1983, picking up 136 scalps collectively. The late cricketer also played a staggering 238 first-class wickets and took 898 scalps at 26.58. As far as Tests go, his 112 scalps came at 30.71 alongside six five-fors.
