General Manager along with Central Railway Officials held a meeting with Members of Parliament of Pune and Solapur Divisions at Pune
Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway along with Principal Head of the Departments & Divisional Railway Managers of Pune & Solapur Divisions, held a meeting with Members of Parliament of Pune and Solapur at the Conference Hall, Divisional Railway Manager's office Pune on June 23, 2025.
Members of Parliament Supriya Sule (Baramati), Shrirang Appa Barne (Maval), Omprakash Bhupalsing Rajenimbalkar (Dharashiv), Dhairyasheel Rajsinh Mohite Patil (Madha), , Dr.Amol Ramsing Kolhe (Shirur), Bhausaheb Rajaram Wakchaure (Shirdi), Nilesh Dnyandev Lanke (Ahmednagar), Vishaldada Prakashbapu Patil (Sangli), Rajni Ashokrao Patil (Beed), Nitin Laxmanrao Jadhav Patil (Satara), Shivaji Bandappa Kalge (Latur), Maya Naroliya (Hoshangabad) and Medha Kulkarni (Rajya Sabha Pune) participated in the meeting.
Supriya Sule was elected by consensus as Chairperson of the committee.
Earlier, the General Manager welcomed the Members of Parliament with shawl and Shrifal. In his welcome address, Meena commended their cooperation and motivation in completing the projects and further said the esteemed passengers will be served with better amenities under their guidance. Meena also highlighted the achievements of Central Railway and the recognition received in the form of prestigious G. B Pant Shield among others and 1st and 2nd innovation awards.
K. K. Mishra, Deputy General Manager Central Railway conducted the proceedings of the meeting.
Rajesh Kumar Verma, Divisional Railway Manager, Pune and Sujeet Mishra, Divisional Railway Manager, Solapur gave a detailed presentations on the achievements of Pune and Solapur Division respectively.
Hon'ble Members of Parliament raised various demand pertaining to their constituency overall improvements for the passengers and also appreciated the steps taken by railways for improving passenger convenience through various schemes and trains like Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Vande Bharat express, Amrit Bharat Express and Special trains. The questions raised by Members of Parliament were satisfactorily answered and assurance for incorporating their suggestions for the overall improvement & increasing passenger convenience was given.
