After Rahul Gandhi hit out at Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the latter hit back, calling him a liar.

Rahul Gandhi today said that there was an eight per cent increase in the number of voters in Fadnavis’s constituency Nagpur South West in just five months before Maharashtra polls.

Fadnavis himself took to X to write a detailed post on how voter percentage had gone up in similar numbers in the constituencies won by Congress and MVA alliance.

He pointed out that Congress’s Vikas Thakre won the elections and there was a seven per cent increase in the number of voters in his constituency.

In the case of Aslam Shaikh from Malad constituency in Mumbai, the rise in voter percentage was 11 and Shaikh won from Malad.

Fadnavis also said that in Mumbra constituency, the rise in voter percentage was nine and senior NCP leader Jitendra Awhad won from Mumbra.

The CM added that Rahul Gandhi should at least have consulted his own party leaders like Nitin Raut, Vikas Thakre or Aslam Shaikh before making wild allegations.
