Indian Student At UK University Sentenced For Masturbating On Female Peer’s Bed & Jellycat Teddy Bear
An 18-year-old Indian student pursuing civil engineering at Northumbria University in the UK has received a suspended prison sentence after admitting to committing an indecent act in a fellow female student’s accommodation room during the Christmas holidays last year.
The accused, Udkarsh Yadav, gained unauthorised access to the room of a female undergraduate while she was away, using a gym keycard that had mistakenly been programmed to allow access to all rooms in the student housing block. According to express, the incident took place when the victim had returned home for the holidays, and Yadav entered her empty room and ejaculated on her bed cover and three stuffed Jellycat teddy bears.
The female student discovered a crusty white residue on her mattress and soft toys when she returned in January. Suspicious and disturbed, she reported the matter to the authorities. DNA testing later confirmed the presence of Yadav’s genetic material on the items, after which he admitted to the act, claiming he was “overcome with desire,” according to express report.
Despite his initial refusal to speak during police interrogation, Yadav eventually confessed as a result of the forensic evidence. The Newcastle Crown Court sentenced him to 14 months in prison, suspended for two years. This means that he will avoid jail time if he does not commit another offence within that period. Along with the suspended sentence, he was also directed to serve 200 hours of community service, undergo rehabilitation sessions, and pay £117 in compensation for the destroyed property.
After the conviction, Northumbria University moved quickly to address the security breach. The malfunctioning keycard system was repaired, and Yadav was moved to another house.
The university is also weighing further disciplinary action, such as expulsion from the course. As Yadav is in the UK on a student visa, he may be deported if his visa is cancelled after the conviction.
