Honour Killing In Jaipur: Man Allegedly Murdered By In-Laws Over Inter-Caste Marriage
In a case of honour killing, a man was allegedly murdered in broad daylight in Jaipur a couple of days ago. The police have detained three persons, including the deceased's brother-in-law, based on an FIR lodged by the victim’s father.
According to the police, the deceased, Govind Prajapat (27), had married Payal Saini one and a half years ago. The couple has a two-month-old daughter.
As per the FIR filed by Govind’s father, the in-laws were unhappy with the marriage. On June 21, three individuals, including Govind's brother-in-law, allegedly attacked him and crushed his head with a stone. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Govind’s family has accused Hanuman Ram, Ajay, and one more unidentified person of plotting and executing the murder. The police have registered a case and, after investigation, detained the three accused.
