Train travel to get slightly costlier From July 1; all details on fare hike
Starting July 1, 2025, Indian Railways will implement a slight fare increase for non-suburban travel, the first in five years, to boost revenue without affecting daily commuters or monthly pass holders. The hike impacts ordinary second class (above 500 km), non-AC Mail/Express, and AC classes, while suburban services and short-distance travel remain unchanged.
