‘Tough year…’: Kareena Kapoor gives strength to Karisma after ex-jiju Sunjay Kapur’s death – See post

They say tough times don’t last, but tough sisters do — and Kareena Kapoor Khan echoed just that as she penned her emotionas in a birthday note for her sister Karisma Kapoor, calling her the “strongest and the bestest girl in the universe” after what she described as one of their most difficult years.

Yes, we all must know that Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, died a few days back.

While posting a picture of Saif Ali Khan and Karisma Kapoor, bebo wrote, “This is my most favourite picture of you both!”

She further added, “To the strongest and the bestest girl in the universe… It’s been a tough year for us … but you know what … as they say, tough times don’t last … the toughest sisters do…To my sister, my mother, my best friend … Happy birthday, my Lolo.”

Looking at the comments section, Malaika Arora commented, “Love you, Lolo.” Bhumi Pednekar also wished her and commented, “Happy Birthday,” with a red heart emoji.

All about Sunjay Kapur and Karisma Kapoor

Sunjay Kapur married Karisma Kapoor in 2003 in a lavish ceremony held at the Kapoor family’s iconic Krishna Raj bungalow in Mumbai.

The couple welcomed their daughter Samaira in 2005, followed by their son Kiaan in 2010. However, after years of a strained relationship and a prolonged legal battle, Karisma and Sunjay officially ended their marriage in 2016.

Their divorce garnered significant media attention.

In 2017, Sunjay went on to marry model and entrepreneur Priya Sachdev. The couple also shares a son.

Karisma Kapoor, often hailed as the ultimate 90s diva, continues to captivate hearts with her timeless elegance and unforgettable performances. From starring in some of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters to revolutionising dance on the big screen, her cinematic journey has been iconic in every sense.
