WATCH: Rohit Sharma explains his hilarious ‘moment’ from IND vs PAK T20 World Cup 2024 game, says…

New Delhi: Team India ace Rohit Sharma remembered his funny forgetful experience in the toss of the T20 World Cup 2024 match vs. Pakistan in New York. The 38-year-old said the fast-paced environment in the ground coupled with Ravi Shastri’s exuberance in the toss made him forget that he had the coin in his pocket.

With Rohit being requested to toss the coin for the toss, he approached the match referee for it. Pakistan captain Babar Azam, who was standing next to Rohit, then gently reminded his Indian counterpart that he has the coin, leaving the opening batter with a sheepish grin.

Speaking to Star Sports, a year after India’s T20 World Cup win, Rohit recalled the moment and explained:

“I’ll tell you what is happening. Look at him. In the blue, it’s Rohit Sharma ready to punch. In the green, it’s ready to counterpunch. Yeh sab cheez wahan pe ho raha hai, toh obviously it’s fun. In the middle of everything, Ravi Shastri’s energy, and everything, I forgot coin mere paas hee hai.”
