When will Panchayat Season 5 release? Here's what director Deepak Kumar Mishra said
With Panchayat Season 4 ending on a cliffhanger and unresolved plot points, fans are wondering when the makers and Amazon Prime Video come up with Season 5.
The finale saw Kranti Devi and her husband Bhushan defeating Manju Devi and Pradhan ji in the elections. Panchayat fans are wondering whether Abhishek Tripathi will leave Phulera with the cliffhanger ending.
When will Panchayat Season 5 air?
Amazon Prime Video and TVF are yet to give an official confirmation regarding Panchayat Season 5. But in May 2024, Panchayat director Deepak Kumar Mishra said he has a broader idea for Season 5.
"For us, generally there is no break between two seasons. The third season is over and we have written three to four episodes of [Season 4]," the director said back then.
"So far, we have thought about making Season 4 and 5. For Season 4, we have a clear idea, and there is a broader idea for Season 5," Mishra added.
More recently, actor Sanvikaa, who plays Rinki in Panchayat, revealed that the work has already begun on her part in Season 5. She also hinted that Panchayat's next season could premiere on Amazon Prime by mid-2026 or year-end.
It should be noted that Panchayat Season 1 aired on April 3, 2020 and Season 2 released two years later on May 20, 2022. Season 3 also released after a two-year gap on May 28, 2024. There were speculations that Season 4 would follow suit but the makers were able to fast-track the shooting and release the latest season within a year. Hence, it is no surprise that Panchayat Season 5 would reach our screens by 2026.
