Govt Modifies Account Classification System For Better Budget Clarity

JAMMU, Jun 26: The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has approved a new set of detailed/object heads for financial classification, modifying the earlier Government order Number 52-F of 2015.
As per Government Order Number 177-F of 2025, dated June 26, the revised structure is based on the Council of Ministers’ Decision Number 057/11/2025 and categorizes expenditure under six distinct classes with clear segregation of object heads under Revenue and Capital.
Existing heads will now be merged or grouped into the new system to improve budget standardization and financial reporting.
