Illegal structures razed at three villages in Panchkula district
A major enforcement drive was carried out by the District Town Planner’s team in control and urban areas of Panchkula today. The operation was led by District Town Planner (DTP) Sanjay Narang. During action, two illegal colonies at Barwala village were targeted, resulting in demolition of six damp proof courses (DPCs).
Besides, at Bator village, a showroom and internal road network of an unauthorised colony were demolished. The demolition was carried out in the presence of Duty Magistrate Ashok Kumar, Assistant Town Planners Dimpy Rathi and others, along with a heavy police force.
DTP Narang said prior to demolition, notices were issued by the department to violators. However, as violators failed to remove illegal constructions, the department was compelled to take strict action against them. He further clarified that any construction or development of a colony without obtaining prior approval from the Director, Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana, would invite strict legal action.
He appealed to the general public not to undertake any construction or colony development without obtaining change of land use (CLU) or a valid licence from the department.
