US signs deal with China, Trump hints at ‘very big’ deal with…

Washington, DC: Days after the ceasefire announcement between Iran and Israel, United States President Donald Trump on Thursday (US local time) stated that his country had signed a deal with China, hinting at a ‘very big’ deal with India that will be done in the coming months. “Everybody wants to make a deal and have a part of it. Remember a few months ago, the press was saying, ‘You really have anybody of any interest? Well, we just signed with China yesterday. We are having some great deals. We have one coming up, maybe with India. Very big one. Where we’re going to open up India, in the China deal, we are starting to open up China,” Trump said.

US Trade Deals

While speaking at the Big Beautiful Bill event, he spoke about trade deals and clarified that these deals “will not be made with every other nation.”

“Trump asserted that deals will not be made with every other nation. “We’re not going to make deals with everybody. Some we are just going to send them a letter, say thank you very much. You are to pay 25, 35, 45 per cent. That’s the easy way to do it, and my people don’t want to do it that way. They want to do some of it, but they want to make more deals than I would do,” he said. “But we’re having some great deals. We have one coming up, maybe with India. Very big one. Where we’re going to open up India, in the China deal, we’re starting to open up China. Things that never really could have happened, and the relationship with every country has been very good,” he added.

No Details on Trade Deal With China

However, the US President did not talk about the deal signed with China. Earlier this month, a report by CNN reported a trade with US and China on terms agreed upon in Geneva in May.

A temporary trade agreement provided short-term relief to global markets, businesses, and consumers, who had been negatively impacted by escalating tariffs and uncertainty.

Earlier, Trump took to Truth Social and said that the deal” is done and both countries would ease export restrictions. “Our deal with China is done,” Trump wrote in the post that, the Dragon would supply “full magnets, and any necessary rare earths…up front,” according to the Geneva framework.

US Trade Deal With India

US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick recently expressed optimism about a swiftly finalised trade agreement between the US and India, suggesting both nations have identified mutually beneficial terms.

While speaking at a press conference about the India-US trade deal and a possible future agreement with the European Union, Piyush Goyal said that PM Modi and US President Trump had met in February tis year. During their meeting, both leaders agreed to work towards a bilateral trade agreement that benefits the economies, businesses, and people of both countries.

He added that the goal is to create a fair, balanced, and mutually beneficial deal that supports business growth on both sides.
