UP News: Burqa-Clad Woman Offers Prayers At Shiva Temple In Kanpur For Ill Brother's Health; Video Goes Viral
A video from Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur has gone viral on social media, showing a woman wearing a black burqa offering prayers at a roadside Shiva temple. According to reports, the woman had been praying for her critically ill brother, whose condition had shown no signs of improvement despite multiple doctor consultations and prayers at mosques.
The short clip which is now circulating widely shows the woman standing at the entrance of the Hindu temple marked with the symbol ‘Om'. Dressed entirely in her religious outfit, she is seen leaning inside and offering her prayers to the Shivaling. A pair of footwear can be seen left outside, indicating her reverence towards Lord Shiva.

The woman's brother was reportedly battling for life in a hospital. When doctors reportedly gave up hope, she trusted in the Almighty. In addition to her visits to several mosques and dargahs seeking divine blessings, she turned to Lord Shiva, praying for a miracle towards his health.
As per News24, her brother’s health began improving soon after, after which she returned to the temple and offered sweets in gratitude.
The identity of the woman has not been reported but the video of her offering prayers at the Hindu temple is goining across social media platforms.
