Commission agents voice grievances over erratic power supply, shop registration at market meet
Sahnewal Market Committee chairman Hemraj Raji held a meeting with commission agents at the office of the Market Committee in Sahnewal on Friday. He listened to complaints related to the agents. Some issues were resolved on the spot, while assurance was given for the resolution of the remaining concerns soon. Officials of the Market Committee Sahnewal were also present on the occasion.
Chairman Hemraj Raji stated that the concerns of commission agents under the Market Committee Sahnewal jurisdiction were duly heard and considered. Raji said that the agents had requested that their shops in the market be registered in their names. “The agents have been advised to submit an application in this regard, attaching old records and related documents, to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC), which can then be issued to them,” he said.
The commission agents also demanded the installation of an additional transformer to address the issue of insufficient power supply. The chairman assured them that this would be installed soon. He further stated that lights would also be installed in the mandi in the near future.
He added that, keeping in view the agents’ suggestions, saplings would be planted in all mandis. Raji reiterated that the Market Committee would make all possible efforts to resolve every issue concerning commission agents at the earliest.
