Weather Alert: There will be heavy rain from Delhi to Kerala, storm warning also
The national capital Delhi on Saturday recorded a minimum temperature of 28.7 degrees Celsius, 0.8 degrees above the season’s average. The IMD has forecast rain with thunderstorms and the maximum temperature will be around 37 degrees Celsius.
Weather Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rain in different parts of the country for the whole week. Cyclonic circulation is in effect over Saurashtra and Kutch. Due to this, a low pressure area has formed in the surrounding areas since this morning. Apart from this, another cyclonic circulation is forming over southwest Bangladesh and Gangetic West Bengal. It will gradually move towards West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand. Due to this, heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Konkan, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh for the next 7 days. Especially in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, there is a warning of more than 20 cm of rain on June 30.
Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and parts of Rajasthan will receive heavy rains from June 28 to July 4. Along with this, strong winds at a speed of 30-40 kmph and lightning are expected. Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and Bihar are likely to experience heavy rains and stormy winds. In Northeast India, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland are likely to receive very heavy rains on July 2 and 3. The Meteorological Department has advised people to remain alert and follow the guidelines of the local administration.
Heavy rain in Kerala, Orange alert issued in 5 districts
Heavy rain warning has been issued in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in South India from June 28 to July 4, in which Kerala may receive very heavy rain on June 28. Along with this, strong winds will blow at a speed of 40-50 km per hour in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and coastal Karnataka. Heavy rains have occurred in various parts of Kerala. The IMD has issued an orange alert for Saturday in 5 districts of the state. This alert was issued for Saturday in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Malappuram and Wayanad districts of the state. Orange alert means heavy rain ranging from 11 centimeters (cm) to 20 cm. Due to the rain in the state in the last few days, the water level of various rivers has risen, causing flooding in many low-lying areas and displacing hundreds of people.
