Who Was Shefali Jariwala?
Born on December 15, 1982, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Shefali Jariwala belonged to a family of accountants and bankers. Her father worked as a chartered accountant, and her mother was employed by the State Bank of India.
Shefali studied in Gujarat and earned a degree in Computer Applications.
In 2002, Jariwala stepped into the world of glitz and glamour and gained popularity after her song Kaanta Laga created a frenzy. The song brought her widespread recognition, and in subsequent years, she featured in various other music videos.
Her major breakthrough came when she featured in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004). Over the years, Shefali appeared in shows like Nach Baliye, Bigg Boss 13, and more.
Shefali’s Struggle with First Marriage
In 2004, Shefali tied the knot with musician Harmeet Singh. The couple got married with great zeal and pomp. However, in 2009, news came that the two had parted ways. The actress had accused her ex-husband of domestic violence. She said that she was mentally tortured. The actress had also filed an FIR against Harmeet, claims a Navbharat Times report.
In an interview with Times Now, Shefali called her first marriage “torture.”
Later, in 2014, Shefali got married again. She tied the knot with actor Parag Tyagi. For the uninitiated, Parag is 11 years older than Shefali.
Shefali Jariwala Couldn’t Become a Mother Because
Despite being in a marriage of 11 years, Shefali couldn’t conceive. She had said in Paras Chhabra’s podcast that she had been thinking of adopting a child since she was 12 years old. She had also thought about adoption, but due to legal complications, it was not possible.
Shefali Jariwala told ETimes that when she lost her loved ones to COVID-19, she became scared of becoming a mother. She had taken a step back. She said that she would not decide to become a mother until she was sure.
