Bengaluru Weather: IMD Issues Yellow Alert In These Regions Of Karnataka; Check More Details

Bengaluru: The Garden City of India is famous for its pleasant weather throughout the year. On June 29, the city typically experiences monsoon weather conditions, bringing relief from the summer heat and adding freshness to the air. The city is set to experience heavy rainfall in coastal areas. Cloudy skies are also expected in the city which is expected to remain the same throughout the day.

The city woke up at 05: 55 AM. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 20 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively. The city is expected to witness the sunset at 06: 49 PM. The residents will not get respite from the humidity and it is likely to be around 80 per cent.

KSNDMC shared a weather report on X

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) for seven days and wrote, "Scattered to widespread moderate rainfall and isolated heavy rainfall are likely over the coastal and Malnad districts of the state. Scattered light to moderate rainfall is likely over the interior districts."

Rainfall is predicted in these regions

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall on Sunday in coastal and its adjoining regions. Whereas no alert has been issued in North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Scattered heavy rainfall is predicted in isolated regions of the state. The rainfall is likely to be accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, and it is likely to continue for the next three to four days, said IMD.

Rainfall and humidity

Being in the middle of the Southwest Monsoon season, Bengaluru often receives moderate to heavy rainfall during late afternoons or evenings around this time. The skies are likely to remain partly cloudy to overcast, with occasional spells of rain.

Humidity levels may hover around 70-85 per cent, making the air feel damp, especially after rainfall. If you plan to step out on June 29, it's advisable to carry an umbrella or raincoat, as sudden rain showers are common. Wearing light cotton clothes will help in dealing with humidity.
